Super Bowl XLIX Sports Career Expo Recap

On Friday February 30th, 2015 NFLPE and Why Not Sports teamed up to host the Super Bowl XLIX Sports Career Expo at Arizona State University. Nine high schools from the Phoenix Union Public School District participated in the 4th annual event exposing participants to a variety of careers in sport beyond the playing field and teaching essential life skills.

An Interview with Coach Bruce Larsen

Coach Larson graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1982 and University Wisconsin River Falls 1987. In the fall of 1987 he began his teaching and coaching career at Somerset High School. He has been in Somerset for the past twenty eight years. Over the years he served one year as the head girls basketball coach, twelve years as the head wrestling coach, five years as the head baseball coach, two years as the head track coach, five years as the head junior high track coach, twelve years as an assistant football coach and sixteen years as the head football coach.
