Cynthia Zordich

As the author of When The Clock Runs Out, 20 NFL greats share their stories of hardship and triumph when forced to leave the game they love, the subject of players in transition has been a passion of Cynthia's for over a decade. Through one-on-one interviews, quotes, and evocative photo portraits, her collection explores the bittersweet story of letting go.  Cynthia offers a unique perspective as the wife of a 12 year veteran, now NFL coach, Michael Zordich. They have two sons, Michael V. (PSU '12, Carolina Panthers) and Alex (UB), and a daughter, Aidan (PSU).

Cynthia is honored to assist Troy Vincent and the NFLPE in their mission to help link current and former players to the outstanding programs and resources that are now available to players and their spouses. "Times are so different. The league is so different. Ten years ago a player once asked me, What do you do with the rest of your life, when you can no longer do what you were born to do. Today, From the Player Care Foundation and Former Player Life Improvement Plan to NFL Player Engagement, programs have been implemented to assist players from the moment they sign (Rookie Symposium) to the day they hang up their cleats and begin their second life (TAP). What's more, spouses and families are encouraged to participate."

Cynthia Zordich is committed to empowering the women of the league by arming them with outstanding resources which have the potential to positively and directly impact their future success.
