On Friday, May 17, Team Engagement launched a new addition to the Player Engagement website: The Women’s Resource Initiative (WRI). WRI provides research, resources, tools, and inspiration for women in the football community.
Recognizing that women play a tremendous role in the lives of past, present, and future athletes, WRI aims to celebrate the contributions and influence of mothers, wives, significant others, and daughters in the sports world.
Through WRI, NFLPE wants to engage the women of football to share their stories, voice their opinions, find resources, and participate in broader discussions on social and community issues. WRI connects women to their peers to share knowledge and experiences, promote proven service offerings, public appearances, private initiatives, and other opportunities.
The NFL athlete knows, understands, and appreciates firsthand that the women in their lives contribute to their overall well-being and development as athletes, fathers, businessman, and as men. Our hope is that this site provides additional resources to you and your family in the areas of career, health, safety, wellness, and lifestyle.
We welcome women of all ages and walks of life to explore, share your thoughts and comments about your successes, as well as tips that can help other women navigate the world of sports as parents, professionals, coaches, advisors, influencers, and decision makers. To us, you are more than a fan!
