Get a Look Inside the NFL’s Media Properties and Events

If you’ve always wondered what it takes to bring the NFL’s media properties and major events from idea stage and into the eyes, hands, and living rooms of fans, then Player Engagement has as some exciting job shadows that are right up your alley!

During the 2014-2015 season and offseason, current and former players have the option of applying to shadow at NFL Media (covering NFL Network and the NFL’s mobile and digital properties), NFL Films, Super Bowl, Combine, and Draft.

NFL Media: Over the course of 2-3 days, players will gain an overview of the broadcast and business operations at the NFL’s Culver City, CA offices. Participants will learn the basics of production, writing, storytelling, and what it takes to be on the air, as well as the day-to-day operations of a television network. Click here to learn more.

NFL Films: If you’re interested in learning how large-scale television productions are built from the ground up, then take this opportunity to travel to Mt. Laurel, NJ to learn from the award-winning staff at NFL Films. Participants will learn about the writing, editing, and production processes and attend planning meetings to help talent prepare for on-air appearances. Click here to learn more.

NFL Entertainment Marketing: Shadowing with the NFL’s Entertainment Marketing department will provide players with an inside look at the production and planning aspects that go into executing Super Bowl, Combine, and Draft. NFL Events: The NFL Draft is back in primetime but is heading to a whole new location. Shadow with the NFL Events department to learn what goes into producing this major television event.
