NFL Player Engagement
Now that the 2014 drafted rookies have been through the Rookie Symposium they are officially oriented into the League and well under way at their first NFL Training Camps. Before they could hit the field though, this year’s rookies participated in four days of educational sessions focused on the Symposium’s four core teaching principles: History, Total Wellness, Experience, and Professionalism. They heard from 2013 rookies about their first year in the League, veteran players who have achieved success on and off-the-field, Hall of Famers who know what it takes to be great, and the NFL’s Transition Coaches who have committed themselves to providing guidance to players on all things Total Wellness related.
Throughout the week, the rookies and this year’s speakers took time to talk to our PE TV hosts – Kevin O’Connell (4-year NFL veteran) and Michael Robinson (9-year NFL veteran) – write for our blog, and post to social media about their experience at the Symposium and in the NFL so far.
