NFL Player Engagement
You know the events – NFL Combine, NFL Draft, NFL Madden Launch – but have you ever wondered what goes into making them happen? Now you can find out!
Player Engagement is collaborating with the NFL’s Entertainment Marketing department and other League properties to offer current and former players an inside look at some of the League’s most popular events and entities. If you have dreams of working on the business side of professional sports – whether in marketing, television production, event operations, or more – apply to one of the NFL-focused job shadows being offered this year. You could gain hands-on experience at:
- NFL Combine: Maybe you participated in the Combine prior to your rookie year, or maybe you’ve watched it on TV, but you’ve never seen it like this. Work with the NFL’s Entertainment Marketing department to make Combine a premier event for NFL fans and sponsors.
- NFL Draft: Want to see how partners activate all over New York City during Draft week? Work with the Entertainment Marketing department on their numerous events taking place across the city. Or are you more interested in what goes on behind-the-scenes at Radio City? Shadow with the NFL’s Events department to learn all about what goes into putting on this prime-time television event.
- NFL Films: Have you always been interested in how Jaws and Cosell prepare for NFL Matchup, or what goes into putting together the popular Playbook series? Work with the NFL Films crew to learn what it takes to get these popular shows on the air.
- NFL International: The game of football is growing internationally now more than ever. Find out how this great sport is being marketed and promoted overseas by interning with one of the NFL’s International offices in Canada or China.
- NFL League Office: Meet the people at 345 Park who make this game happen once the players hit the field. You can spend time with one or more departments of interest, so if your focus is on Marketing, Player Engagement, Events, Finance, or another area of the business, this job shadow is for you.
- NFL Madden Launch: Every year EA Sports’ popular Madden game is better than ever, and this NFL event celebrates that. Work with Entertainment Marketing to put on this exciting event for players and fans surrounding the release of the new game. (If you’re more interested in how the game is actually developed, you could shadow with EA Sports in their Orlando offices too!)
- NFL Security: You see team, League, and stadium security on game day and throughout the year. Learn what goes into making the game safe for fans and players by working with a team or the League Security department. Many team security representatives have background in other areas of law enforcement, so this is a great way to learn about that career field more generally.
Descriptions and application instructions for these job shadows and many more are available NOW on the NFL Engagement Zone. Navigate to the Career section (under Resources) to learn more.
Note: Job shadows focused around League events have hard deadlines. Please be mindful of the deadlines and apply by the appropriate dates.
