NBC Countdown Video
Just prior to the 2013 season opener between the Broncos and the Ravens, NBC aired a special countdown video co-produced by NFL Films and NBC. This video featured an NFL Legend from each team counting down from 32 to 1. Legends including Jim Brown, Joe Namath, Deion Sanders, and Ray Lewis took part in the video to celebrate the kickoff of the 2013 season.
Kickoff Concert and Game Viewing Party
On September 5th, the NFL Kickoff Concert took place at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. The pre-game celebration featured VIP hospitality, entertainment and a live performance by Keith Urban where more than 42,500 fans came out to watch. Following the concert, the NFL hosted a game viewing party for VIP guests sponsored by Bud Light at the Maryland Science Center. At this event, NFL Legends including Jamal Lewis, Darrell Green, Mike McCrary, Kyle Richardson, Orlando Pace, Peter Boulware, Mike Flynn, Duane Starks, Rod Woodson, Jamie Sharper, Ahman Green, Todd Heap, and LaVar Arrington gathered with fans to watch the season opener between the Super Bowl Champions Baltimore Ravens and the Denver Broncos.
Kickoff Activation Zone
At the NFL Kickoff Village, attendees had the opportunity to engage with NFL sponsors on September 4th and 5th in the Amphitheater along Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. Fourteen different sponsors including GMC, Pepsi, Bridgestone and Verizon set up spaces to interact with fans and help kickoff the 2013 NFL season. Fans had the opportunity to meet and greet with NFL Legends including Mike Flynn, Orlando Pace, Jamal Lewis, Jamie Sharper, Duane Starks, Mike McCrary, Roger Craig, Rod Woodson, Peter Boulware, Matt Stover, Ahman Green, Kyle Richardson, and Todd Heap.
NFL Play 60 Youth Football Festival
The NFL hosted the Play 60 Youth Football Festival on September 4th and September 5th at Patterson Park in Baltimore. At these clinics, several schools and youth in the area attended hour-long clinics where several NFL legends including Matt Stover, Kyle Richardson, Mike McCrary, Todd Heap, Jamal Lewis, Orlando Pace, Mike Flynn, Duane Starks, Rod Woodson, Darrell Green, and Jamie Sharper assisted in teaching kids football skills and drills as well as the importance of being active and playing for 60 minutes every day.
